Deutz Brut Rose 2009 Vintage Champagne

Winemaker's Notes

The Champagne shows a deep salmon pink color with its brightness enhanced by very fine bubbles that form a sparkling white ring of exceptionally persistent bubbles at the surface of the glass. The delicate and elegant nose boasts mouth-watering aromas reminiscent of red fruits such as strawberries or redcurrants, enhanced by floral hints. The palate shows power, combined with delicious aromas of small red berries and cherries. This seductive and generous wine offers lots of freshness, a fine texture and a beautiful length.

Brut Rose Millesime 2009 can be enjoyed as an aperitif, and will go perfectly with the fine and delicate meat of a red snapper, duck with cranberry sauce, or pigeon cooked with cherries. If matched with dessert, one could try a strawberry charlotte.

Critical Acclaim

Wine Spectator - "Firm and minerally, this well-cut rosé Champagne is softened by the fine, creamy mousse, which carries a delicate range of white raspberry and apricot fruit, accented by biscuit, pickled ginger and lemon curd notes. Smoky finish. Drink now through 2025."

The Wine Advocate - "Blind tastings with Deutz Champagnes must be easy since the color of the Deutz rosés are always very special in their brilliant salmon color. Also, the bouquet of the 2009 Brut Rosé is so delicately and invitingly fruity (pomegranate and raspberry) that there should be good chances to figure the Deutz out. Full-bodied and highly elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, fruit intense, slightly sweet (compared to the Tarlant Rosé Zero Brut Nature), well balanced and structured, persistent Champagne of great finesse."
