2016 EnRoute Pinot Noir 'Les Pommiers,' Russian River Valley

2016 EnRoute Pinot Noir 'Les Pommiers,' Russian River Valley

Winemaker Notes

Lovely aromas of dark blackberry and Bing cherry are balanced by notes of sage, underbrush, and a touch of forest floor. Tannins and color were abundant in 2015, giving us wines of deep color, firm, yet fine-grained tannins and a rich, juicy mid-palate. The 2015 wines are going to be extremely pleasing upon release, but because of their structure and intensity, will reward anyone who should choose to lay some down for five-ten years or more.

Critical Acclaim

Wilfred Wong of Wine.com

Superbly crafted, the ripe fruit and well-structured 2014 EnRoute Pinot Noir deftly shows the power and balance often exhibited from the Russian River Valley. The wine's richness pairs it well with well-seasoned lamb chops. (Tasted: November 17, 2017, San Francisco, CA)

Wine Enthusiast

Lush and velvety, this is a robust wine, richly layered in baked strawberry and huckleberry flavors. The palate is seasoned in tones of clove, cinnamon and orange, with a vibrant backbone of acidity and taut tannins that keeps it fresh in feel within a powerful context of ripeness

Wine Spectator

Deliciously plump and juicy, centered on rich plum, cherry andraspberry flavors, all fresh and vibrant, offering depth without weight. Drink now through 2025.
